Sad news from Florida… The Genius, Lanny Poffo, confirms that last night his brother Randy Poffo [The Macho Man (King)] suffered a heart attack while driving in Tampa. He lot control of his vehicle, hit a tree and died. His wife Lynn was in the car with him, but unlike the Lovely Elizabeth and Sensational Queen (scary) Sherri, Lynn is still alive. 

Macho Man was famous for being a world champion, a member of the mega powers, a rap-recording artist, snapping into Slim Jims, saying “Ooooh Yeah!” and even more recently as a raptor-like meme. He was my favorite wrestler for a very long time, and truly one of the legends of the sport back before it was called sports-entertainment.

The man who shattered Ricky Steamboat’s larynx was 58. He will be remembered fondly as a hero of men, and a god among wrestlers.
